Jeffrey Allen Dailey, 19, a student at Bluegrass Community Technical College, died Saturday, June 27, 2009.
He was born September 27, 1989 in Miami, FL, was a 2008 graduate of Montgomery County High School, a member of the North Middletown Christian Church, and was an avid basketball player.
Jeffrey is survived by his parents, Doug Dailey, Commerce, TX, Earlene and Mike Gibbons, Raleigh, NC; maternal grandfather, Rufus (Lorie) Hartman, Bourbon County; paternal grandmother, Freda Dailey; maternal grandparents, Stewart and Jane Gibbons, Tampa, FL; maternal great grandmother, Dorothy Westmoreland, Hinton, WV; three sisters, Martha Hill, Carla Martin, HollyAnn Gibbons; two brothers, Garrett Gibbons, Joe Gibbons; four nieces, Ashleigh, DezaRay, Briahna, Ripley; and two nephews, VJ and Brandon. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Elsie Hinkle Hartman and his paternal grandfather, Woodroe Dailey.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 1, at the North Middletown Christian Church by Rev. Bob Silvanik with burial in the Peyton's Lick Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Garrett Gibbons, Joe Gibbons, Ryan Foley, Blaine Stull, Brandon Rash, Matt Wigglesworth, Brandon Vargas, and Scooter Robinson. Honorary bearers will be his former basketball team members. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home, Paris. Memorials are suggested to the basketball boosters club of one's choice.
